Seiko SUR457 140th anniversary Review

Why did I buy another watch? Because I walked in my local AD by accident . But I did walked out without buying one. Tried it on, looked at the reference number and said to myself, “no problem I’ll find it online for cheaper.”

The problem? I didn’t. My AD was offering me 160 cash. Now I couldn’t stop thinking about this cheap Seiko.

A lightweight titanium quartz, sunburst dial, For cheap. But I just picked up the brew metric with the recent restock for over 450$ and I really shouldn’t be picking up another watch in the same week.

I had no reason really to buy it. But when do we really ever have a legit reason.

A few days later, after strategically getting a smoothie (right next or my local) I went to try it on, flipped the case back and saw “limited edition” and that was enough of a lame reason to walk out with my brand new “140th limited edition“ Seiko.

A full 24 hours of wear, and I Love it. It’s my first titanium watch and it’s extremely light weight and comfortable. The sunburst dial and finishing for 160$, is classic Seiko. The cherry on top is the sharp blue hour hands. The blue touches overall make this watch slightly more elegant than expected. This watch just makes me happy. Im just a sucker for sunburst dials. With a case diameter of 40mm and lug to lug of 47mm it’s fits my 6.75 wrist like a glove. Everyone needs a grab and go quartz, and this watch is just that.

Did I mention it was a limited edition ?
