Help! Relative newbie looking for a Seiko model reference number to case back number lookup

Hey all. I'm relatively new to the watch world, have my first seiko a Turtle (SRPE93), and am finding myself pleasantly down the watch rabbit hole :-).

As I learn more, and as I navigate the world of seiko watches (especially if trying to buy pre-owned), an understanding of the model reference numbers, the case back numbers, and the "nick names" are really important. However, I haven't been able to find any place online that puts this all together.

It would be so great to have a lookup table/index that is just three columns - Seiko Ref # (i.e SRPE93), Case # (i.e. 4R36-40Y0), and nickname (i.e. "Turtle").

Does anything like this exist? It's easy to find lots of tools for decoding serial numbers, or case #'s, but nothing I can find that easily lets you see them together.

Also, if you think I'm not seeing things right, and that doesn't seem useful, help me understand why - maybe i'm thinking about the correlation of these three things wrong.

The problem is that the nicknames aren't official. They are conferred by us, the public.

If an enthusiast has done this list, it's either not published anywhere online or they have not publicized it in any meaningful way.

Unfortunately I don't know of any such database. It would be nice if someone started one . There is a great database for G Shock called shockbase.org something like that for Seiko would be great. Maybe someone will know of something I don't.
