Longines Zulu Time 39mm Pre-Order Question 😬
So this is my first luxury watch so I’m a bit new to the whole process of ordering a watch. I pre ordered the new Zulu Time from a local AD of mine. The thing is, the watch is currently available on the Longines website in my region. I put a deposit down with my AD but being as impatient as I am, I want to get it ASAP. I’m worried about the AD not being too happy that I cancel and ruin that AD connection. Do you guys think I should wait for the AD or just cancel and order it myself from Longines?

Lucky! I've been considering this collection since it came out, and while I can wear the original size, I have that size many times over. 39mm has me moving from consideration to purchase (after I get a couple more watches on my hit list). Can't wait to hear your thoughts once you get it.
Does the AD offer any other brands you might be interested in later? The big thing with an AD is building a relationship, so if you have to wait a few weeks, but can keep it with the AD, I would. My AD offers several rbands, including Rolex, so it’s worth building the relationship imo. Might not be the same for you
If you will cancle it the relationship will take a hit. I would propose waiting if you decided to buy it at the AD and honour your word. You never know what awaits on your collecting journey down the road and might regret damaging the relationship later

My AD offers Omega which I’m thinking about in the future. Appreciate your advice 🫡 probably will wait for the AD

I'm in the same spot with this watch. What is keeping me waiting is an AD discount. I would call and see what the timeline on delivery looks like if you have not already. I was told I would have the watch in late June when I preordered but now they are thinking September is more realistic.

I would wait a bit. Boutiques already have them, I had one on my wrist. Shouldn't be too long before the regular shops have them as well. If the AD takes a deposit then it's an order and not some BS register of interest type of business.

Not sure but they did for me. This is my first time buying a watch like this as well. Good luck with the purchase!

I was in Switzerland, go to 3 Longiness boutiques, didn't get the green bezel. One of the guy told me it will be in September. For blue and black, it is ready. How much can you get a discount in AD? How much can you get a discount in boutique?

Yeah the one I ordered is the green bezel. From what I know, the AD doesn’t have any discount and is offering it to me at MSRP. I’m in Canada so it’s $3950 CAD.

yeah, i also like the green bezel, with the gold hands, indexes. 😀. it seem we had to wait until September.
