I would exchange it for a refund. You bought it new with confidence. Taking to a jeweler for repair on a brand new watch is unacceptable in my opinion.
Agree with this 100%! I have some very nice piece as well. I am a big vintage watch guy. Yes the very nice vintage one will only be magazine piece for me but regardless I love them. Many in my boxes that I do not wear but do take them out and wear them while working at the bench or lounging around the house
