How to safely and securely trade watches

Does anyone know a safe and secure way to trade watches with someone?

I made an offer to trade a watch with someone selling a watch on ebay but we are unsure how to safely make the transaction. Can anyone offer some help? Thanks!

Dark glasses, trench coat and a hat.. meet under the bridge on a rainy day. Check surroundings.. Swap packages. Flick the cigarette as you walk away.

What?! no overwatch sniper 100 yards out on a overlook?

I’ve traded with Reddit users but I can’t say it was safe or secure. We just trusted each other and it worked.

You might have to meet them in person, at the local Watchmaker store. The watchmaker could authenticate your watches (for a fee)

I never trade with a stranger, but I am paranoid in that regard. Too many variables for me. Otherwise, meet in person at a secure site.

The only trade I did was through a Facebook group. It was really sketch and I had to put a lot of trust into a person I didn’t know.

But it sounds like there’s an opening in the market for a 3rd party that you can send your watch to and they can verify what was sent then send it through.
