I have the same watch/bracelet combo and have not had any staining etc and I've left it to dull down for 2+ years. Only thing I've noticed is a slight smell from the bronze like copper coins - barely notice it unless my wrist is near my face!

Love them and have a gold capped 168.017 and stainless 168.019. I agree with above - buy on the bracelet as they are great on them and can be hard to find. A lot of people have polished them badly so check those edges... should be nice and sharp! My pair attached...
