i have an oem dial on the way but im planning to install something light and pastel. only got this yellow because it was the cheapest of the colors 😅
if youre planning to swim/dive i would go for the 300m rated watch, but tbh thats the only reason. for daily use i would choose the seiko 1000 times over
i would go for a seiko samurai or turtle for the same money as the seiko 5 GMT, especially if you galue ruggedness. the seiko 5s look really nice but i dont consider them rugged after seiko switched from screw down crown to push/pull and halved the WR
my father’s old watch. he wore this every day until it ran out of battery and for whatever reason he never bothered to replace it… until several years later he said he would give it to me if i “fix” it… so i did, and now its a precious part of my collection. neither of us are military but i think this is very much a military watch
