Hello all!

Just saying hi to everyone. I am a long time watch lover (old dude) and have also infected my wife. I like American watches from the 1940's and 50's with a "story" like the Miller and Son watch pictured. I'll share what I have discovered from this watch I bought to take apart and play with in a longer post. Our current quest is to collect ladies Seiko HI Beats, 28,800 and 36,000 bph watches like the 1944 movement above and the 2205 movements automatics. The size of these movements and their capabilities really impress me as the 1944 movement shown in the pics was also used in the Chronograph and a modified 2205 (2245) was released in a chronograph micro size automatic. I believe these will soon shed their bargain basement prices. I am paying my watchmaker's house and car payments every month in overhauling and crystal installation on the faceted crystal hi beats!

I like what I see here and will be glad to be part of it!
