Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I remember I saw an advertisement from Bulova with Wayne Rooney and it was a black ceramic watch (at that time I didn’t know it was ceramic) and it looked so different to me, I only knew there were silver or gold watches made of steel and some other precious metals. So seeing a watch completely black was such a game changer for me
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
It was a Bulova Marine Star in black ceramic, black dial and black strap. And it also was a Chronograph, Quartz of course
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Not yet 😕 but I’m looking forward to tell some
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Start with seiko, but don’t fall in love with any particular brand while you’re getting started and mainly wait at least 6 months between each purchase
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Tissot, Longines, Tudor, Zenith and Oris
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Probably a IWC Spit fire or maybe a Tudor Pelagos. Because being from Mexico City is not to safe to be walking around with a couple of thousands on your wrist, but I think these two watches are solid pieces that not too many people will recognize, or hopefully at least the thiefs won’t 😅
