Oh for sure. I’ve gone through a few slow periods over the last 23 years. They come and go for various reasons. When the PMWF disbanded (more how it did) I was really disillousioned and could barely look at a watch. Eventually, I snapped out of it and the enjoyment returned. The last couple of years has really been a slow point for me, maybe not technically a lull, but I felt more disconnected from the hobby than ever before. Anyway, I have no place to talk about a lull now; I recently bought two and am scoping out another. 😄
I can see why you couldn't decide. At first I was thinking teal all the way but after a second look at the black dial now I'm not sure. 🤣
The https://pocketwatchdatabase.com/ has a lookup tool by serial numbers and does have a section for the Western Clock Manufacturing Manufacturing Co. aka Westclox.
I used the site to date a couple of pocket watches, like this one to circa 1912. You'd have to crack open the watch to find the serial number, most likely, but you also get to gander at the movement which to me is the best part of pocket watches.
I remember my first watch. It would have been 1977 or 1978, it was a digital Star Wars C3PO watch. I don't know if the one pictured is quite right, but it was at least similar to this. Image from http://crapboxofcthulhu.blogspot.com/2015/12/super-blog-team-up-growing-up-star-wars.html
I work for a software company that specializes in email security. I manage customer programs that use our stuff. I've been here for 4 and a half years. Prior I spent 21 years at a software/hardware reseller.
