I tried on a similar one recently because I was thinking of getting a Tissot, but it looked like @$$ on my wrists. But it looks stunning on your wrist!

I actually prefer quartz watches for obvious reasons. Mechanicals are awesome, but quartzs are practical, and affordable.

As evidenced by this thread, many people who care about lume do seem to resonate with the fun part of it.

Kinda like that childhood moment when you stared at things that glow or sparkled for hours, like stars, diamonds, water ripples, and... lume.

While you make some painfully realistic arguments, you can't deny the fact that lume for, let's face it, most of us, is just fun. Not really whether we're diving in the twilight zone or being shot at at night.

I would also pick a Gshock, namely the Rangeman gw-9400.

To be honest, I've never liked Swatch growing up, what with their condescending slogan "Swatch, others just watch" and what not.

But I think differently now. It's great to see that people are still enthusiastic about watches. And Swatch is making that happen. I've never even heard of Blancpain until recently, and although they aren't my cup of tea, I've learned a bit about their history, which I find fascinating.
