I started collecting watches in the late 2000's. I'm a business professor at a college in the northeast U.S. My watch collection had been as large as 30 pieces, to the five I have currently. I do not plan on having more than five pieces in my collection - I enjoy a small, well-worn selection to choose from!

I definitely purchase watches in support of jobs here in the US. I purchased a Shinola and Vaer for that very reason! I'm enjoying both of them. 👍
My Flieger 40 is currently at Stowa getting serviced so I don't have a picture for you. What I can say with absolutely certainty is how much I love the piece. Simple, classic, legible, thin, light...I absolutely love it and will never sell it. You won't be disappointed!

I'm a big Oris fan...can't go wrong with any of their offerings under $1.5K. You can find some fantastic pre-owned pieces for that price, too. Their teddy bear mascot also kinda fits the newborn celebration! 🥳
