Seiko 1965 62MAS Reinterpretation SPB147

Meet my SPB147, the 1965 62MAS Reinterpretation. Originally came in rubber strap but I changed it to Seiko’s OEM bracelet.

Some say it resembles Tudor’s Black Bay 58 (BB58) in gilt dial, but I beg to differ. It has its own classic character and pleasing to my eyes.

Case diameter of 40.5 mm suits my 7.5” wrist better than the smaller BB58.

Though not chronometer certified, I’m happy with its 6R35 performance, plus/minus 10 spd is not really that bad in my opinion.

For its value, I believe this piece is a must have in one’s Seiko collection.

Happy day folks!

Very nice picture and watch. Indeed has similarities with the BB, but honestly that design is nowadays everywhere, and this one is different enough to tilt fully to Japan and not close to Switzerland.

Nice one!
