Time to say goodbye... Pagani Designs.

Looking at my 4 watch filled boxes I decided to get rid of my homage GMT Master NH34A Pagani Designs. While they are cheap ass GMT's I don't see the use of it anymore. During my Asia holiday I was very happy with my CasioToughsolar / Bluetooth 2100. 30 minutes in the scorching sun it was fully charged. And with a press of a button it was on local time.

There is simply no place for a PD GMT homage anymore.

If you buy mechanical watches for their functionality, you will always be disappointed. It doesn't matter which manufacturer it is. That's why I travel with my G-Shock.

I am never dissapointed in them. I like the seiko calibers. It has its charm. Hence my Seiko collection of Special Edition divers. But I wanted a no nonsense watch on holiday. And the BT/ToughSolar fit the bill. The Red Ignite 2100, 5610U or even the B001. They are light in weight. And even then.. I also carry a smartphone to tell time.

I've learned from my last trip to several countries in different time zones that G-Shocks with Bluetooth are truly the bees knees and deserve to be called god tier. Finding myself wearing my automatics less lately. I have a few squares with the MIP display and visibility is also excellent for my aging eyes.

At home/work the Seiko, Citizen, Zelos... At play and travel Casio. Wearing the GA-B2100BNR-1AER (Ignite Red) on my travel to the Philippines. I always enter local watch-shops. The lady asked what I was looking for. Then saw the Ignite on my wrist. They still had one for sale. Was tempted. On a next trip later that holiday I entered several shops in Clark. Finally bought the W-800H there. For less than 1000 php. Discount.

My last trip to Edinburgh, Scotland would have been disastrous. Local high street and mall had several jewellers. A Fifty Fathoms Blancpain, the Hamilton Dune watches, Tudor, JLC. Lucky my Amex won't support that amount of spending. And those watches are easier to say no to.

My pagani design watches are purely for work, where they get banged, scratched, and doused with acid. My G-shock full metal however is still pristine
