Hamilton Khaki King: Quirky and cool!
A watch that doesn’t get much attention nowadays is the Hamilton Khaki King! This watch holds a very special place in my heart. My wife bought it as a gift for my 40th birthday. It’s one of the pieces that never left my collection. It always stood at my side, like a good friend. It’s not particularly beautiful or eye-catching, but it’s a reliable workhorse and with it’s extended power reserve always there, when you need it. A good friend indeed. What more can you expect from a field watch?

Don't underestimate how tough the Khaki king Auto is! It's a beast!
Mrs had one on her wrist when we had a motorcycle accident & it made contact with the tarmac during the crash. The bezel & lugs have a few gouges but the crystal is completely unmarked and it's been ticking away perfectly enough ever since. No damage apart from cosmetic. She's very proud of her scarred up Hammy!!

Hamilton Khaki watches are outstanding thoughtful gifts, never under appreciated. My wife and I gifted one to our high school age daughter who is now a professional working in finance. She hasn’t worn her Hamilton since her uni days but it is working, keeping good time more than a decade later. I was thinking about this curmudgeon octogenarian lawyer that I had some nasty dealings with who wore a quartz Festina watch from his wife, of course that watch had nothing to do with his ugly behaviour.
