Certina's hidden gem

This beauty just arrived today. Before this two tone watches weren't my thing, but after attending a lot of formal events, like weddings, I needed something dressier than what I had. Since I figured that my wedding band goes well with the gold hints of my SARB Alpinist I have become open for two-tone, but not real gold, as it would make no sense in spending that amount, but also being a softer material it scratches easily. So I found this at a great deal, with 38 mm, and with an actual ETA movement (not taking any risks with plasticky Powermatics, plus I prefer the smoother sweep over the longer power reserve), and with a bracelet that rivals in comfort with the jubilee. As of size it resembles the Hamilton Khaki Field Auto in 38 mm, with shorter lug-to-lug, similar thickness, smaller crown (as it is not a field watch) and with 100 meters of water resistance, having the DS technology of Certina of improved shock resistance as well. As of style it is somewhat of a mashup of a Khaki Field Auto/Seiko 5 SNK, with datejust vibes and it has its own thing with an amazing sunburst silver dial, that looks white in some light and applied markers with a rose gold tone, that appears yellow gold in direct sunlight. Great everyday piece that is not out of place for a dress watch with real Swiss heritage.

Beautiful - Certina's now get more wrist time than Seiko's for me recently (dont wven know how many Seiko's I own), ❤️ the Certina DS Multi 8 is close to watch perfection for my daily needs (one of my few non wind up watches I own ironically).
