Hi there! I'm considering a basic, budget-friendly G Shock for everyday use. After conducting some research, I came to the three main options: DW 5600...
I really like the design on the DW 290, it has some retro vibes with its face, and unusual, even exotic shape. It's quite a unique piece in this regard, I think.
I'm not a big fan of modifying watches, especially through methods like cutting its case with a knife. But you're absolutely right, that will help and solve the problem with this button, as well as simply replacing the button.
Protreks are great! Love clear displays without any irrelevant animations, unlike most G's.
The functions are great, the buttons are indeed easily accessible, but that's one of the reasons why I love G Shocks - there's no risk of accidental pushes due to recessed buttons.
I also love the GBD 200 option, has a decent look and a bunch of functions!
Totally agree with a disappointment regarding the lack of solar structure. It might have been one of the best options if it had a solar-powered movement, though.
