I don't think so. Tudor, although obviously shares some DNA with Rolex, I feel is a stand alone brand. The expertise and quality of the brand speaks for itself, not to mention at that price point. All due respect to Rolex, most of it's hype and brand recognition comes from years of exceptional marketing. Yes, they are outstanding watches, but consumer perception drives the desire for them.
I love my Khaki auto, it's my most worn watch. It never looks out of place, no matter what I'm wearing. I have to agree, there is a serious cool factor to it. It says, I know quality and heritage. The brand is snob proof!
