As an off-road driving instructor using Land Rover Defenders I feel that a field watch is the only option to keep the aesthetic with the military feel of the vehicle. This little Boldr Venture has really proven itself to me. 200m water resistance with the grippiest screwdown crown around, sapphire crystal, solid Seiko NH35 movement, 38mm case diameter and titanium lightness. It all combines to make for something that's ready to handle anything and everything I throw at it.

I've been thinking of getting a Seiko Flightmaster SNA411 and I'm worried that if I do I'll end up with a favourite between the two of them and one will end up never getting worn. I know they don't strictly occupy the same niche, but on an NDC I think the Flightmaster just looks ready to take on anything in its own right.

What do you think? Which do you like? Or do you think there's room for both?

I think it is, titanium is an in vogue material and the watch feels genuinely solid and ready to take on whatever but without having an oversized dominance in your wrist.
