For me it’s the logical one.

Stylistically, the U50 is the antithesis of my two GS models (SBGE255/SBGJ201). So, just excellent for my specific collection. It’s the perfect counterpoint.

But the U50 has many technical merits. Tegimented steel, for one. As YouTuber “YoureTerrific” points out, 500m water resistance at only 11mm thick is genuinely unique. In my mind, that’s a feature in and of itself.

For me, knowing a fact like that, and Sinn being a more niche brand make the U50 all the more special. 

Two Grand Seikos this year depleted the account a bit, but hoping to have a U50 in the collection in the coming months. 

Between the fauxtina and the faux rivets, the standard BB 58 doesn’t do it for me. I do like the BB 58 Blue, however.
