Did a hand swap (and second hand removal) on my 35mm Tissot PRX and I think it really elevates it's look to a dressier looking watch. Thoughts?

True vintage vibes! Removing the seconds hands is always a clever move in quartz watches. Most of my quartz pieces don’t have a seconds hand by design, and it helps a lot to make me “forget” they’re quartz powered.

People tend to have issues with the seconds hand not hitting the seconds markings, but I just don’t like when the seconds hand recoils like crazy in cheaper movements. Without a seconds hand, even a dirt cheap quartz movement can pass by a high quality one.
Sorry for my ignorance, how does a second hand "recoil"?
