I presume so, but I've never taken the back off to be honest. I can't see how and I don't want to risk damaging it!

I'm guessing mine would be from about the same time. I was born in 1973 and my dad had the watch for as long as I can remember. He died a long time ago unfortunately - I wish I'd asked him how he got it!

How did you come by your one?

I've got one. It was my dad's, though I don't know how he acquired it. I've read that they were apparently given as gifts to Sony employees, but my dad never worked for Sony!

Anyway, it's a cool watch but I'd like to know a bit more about them too!
