I've heard the same story about the metal straps being low quality, better leather! Check out the Zenith A385, think it's a better overall watch and not as expensive.

Sinn, hands down, the quality, craftmanship and solidity are not to be beaten.

I've owned a U1 for a long time and love it; and the U50 is even better (smaller in size) with Sinn's latest technolgy and  engineering! Easy choice, but I also own Omegas and love them, but I feel that the Moonwatch to me is too much of a marketing gimmick for me!
