Well, one has a date window and the other doesn't. If you like to know the date on your watch, this could factor into your decision.
The Spitfire uses an in-house movement whereas the Mark XVI uses a modified ETA if that's important to you. The Spitfire will give you 72 hours of power reserve vs 42. Other than that it's just aesthetics, imo.
