I’m relatively new to watches. I started getting interested in watches in early 2019. I wanted a mechanical watch after having a couple smart watches. My buddy at work said just look on eBay and I fell down the rabbit hole. A 1967 Timex Marlin was my first mechanical watch since my Mickey Mouse watch in the 70s. I have branched out since the Marlin.
Why ‘ezcamper’? My first hobby was VWs. One VW that will always be with me is our 1967 VW EZ-Camper conversion. We have had it since 1993
Regarding date, I agree it would be nice to have included a date. This is the one thing I miss on the BB3. If Tudor added a date, hopefully it would be integrated at the 6 o’clock position.
I don’t know exactly how to classify the BB36. But I love it. For now, it’s my Explorer substitute. With the silver dial, the watch seems bigger on wrist than a typical 36mm. It is a bit of a transition for me from my prior dive watches. This watch is the beginning of my personal smaller watch trend.
I'm right there with you. The watch needs to be beautiful, which is subjective. I need to love it, not just like it. For me, movement isn't as critical. I like mechanical, automatic, and various type of quartz including multiband 6 or bluetooth. My latest love is a silver dial Tudor Black Bay 36.
