Admiring the work of Chanel
I know that fashion brands are typically shunned when it comes to watchmaking, and I definitely understand with some, but I fear us watch enthusiasts can sometimes be too quick to judge. I’d like to advocate specifically for Chanel.
While they bear the name of a fashion brand, their watches bring a unique taste of design and craftsmanship to the industry that is incredibly underrated. Yeah, the styles aren’t for everyone, but they have a lot to offer if you just look a little closer. Their offerings include and are not limited to: in-house movements, tourbillons, animated automatons, incredible gem setting, sapphire cases and bracelets, and a stacked list of clocks and novelties.
I am particularly taken by their design language that seems to say: modern luxury, shot in black and white. What I mean by that is that each design carries both the brands history of twentieth century French aristocracy and the modern styles with alternative materials and sleek architecture.
I would love to someday see Chanel get the credit they deserve. There’s something special they have going, and I feel optimistic about their future. Thank you all for coming to my TedTalk haha if you would like to agree or disagree, feel free to write a comment and let’s talk!

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.... During those times who wasn't a Nazi fanatic. I think history underplays how many people actually supported Hitler.
Like: Henry Ford, Hugo Boss, Ikea founder etc.
As far as the watches and Channel I think they have some nice watches but then some watches are just a ripoff making then a fashion brand.
