I have a chronological collection of watches from my first to most current. I only bought what I liked over the years and still wear most of them today.
My first watch was a 1948 Ingersol Mickey Mouse given to me at five years old, still runs!
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My Dad flew trans-Atlantic flights during WWII with the Air Transport Camnand. He bought a Roamer Brevete manual-wind watch during a re-fueling stop in the Azores in 1943. It was his only watch for many years of my childhood. I had it serviced a few years ago - runs great.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Great hobby with lots to learn.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Tudor, RZE
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Rolex Submariner. Sean Connery wearing one as James Bond in Dr. No - 1962. I have obsessed over Subs since then.
