New (old) watch - Sinn 356 SA
I decided I wanted to get a smaller mechanical chronograph, and after a few months of searching, found this for just about USD1600 including box and documentation.
I had some reservations about the thickness of the 7750 movement in a case measuring 38.5mm in diameter. Looks good to my eye though!

that is an awesome looking Flieger!! The rally strap belongs on a "racing-style" chrono though ... a "pilot-style" leather or metal bracelet would suit your watch better IMHO 👍

That's a fair point, and I agree: logically, a pilot-style strap would be more "aligned" with the spirit of the watch; but I live in Singapore, and I'm a pretty sweaty dude. I need something that helps me avoid that awful stickiness when it comes to mixing a leather strap with 75%+++ humidity 🥺

Amazing watch, in my opinion it rivals the Speedmaster in looks. It's one of my favorite watches - and I own it and a Speedmaster.
The thickness IMO is not an issue and the proportions just work - Sinn has someagic in their designs, like Seiko, that allows them to wear extremely well despite what the specs might say.

Congrats! I’ve seen some sell around the same price but I don’t really see the deals any better than what you got. Always loved the 356! It’s been on my wish list for many, many years.
