WOCCI Leather Watch Strap Review

My previous review of Vinacreations alligator straps can be found here. After my used Orient Bambino arrived, I needed to replace the original strap because (1) shiny alligator is not appropriate for black tie, and (2) the previous owner's exorbitant use of cologne. Failing to squeeze in a 22mm black Hadley-Roma, I cut the ends as a temporary measure. The task for finding a permanent replacement was a bit more difficult. The 21mm lug width on the Bambino is not very common on Amazon. My go to brands Hadley-Roma and B&R don't have a 21mm band in the style I needed (flat black calfskin look). Then I stumbled upon WOCCI. My guess is this is a overpriced Amazon version of something I could get on AliExpress for less than half, but with free 2 day shipping and a tight schedule it worked. The strap was much better than I expected for $15.

So when it was time to find another strap to dress down the Bambino, I returned to WOCCI find something in a more casual style/color. This gem was on their site for 50% off ($7) after a coupon checkbox was clicked.

It's a fairly cheap band, so you get what you pay for. But it's soft, and looks nice. WOCCI has a number of other colors, and lots of hardware options (regular buckle, taper buckle, rose, gold, black, silver). It has light padding compared to other nicer bands. It means it will likely not last as long, but is more wearable right out of the pouch:

Inside the pouch comes the standard cheapo spring bar tool, and the strap. Everything is nicely packaged and it all arrived in good condition:

Unlike the Vinacreations straps I previously reviewed, the padding taper is much smoother.

All in all a great looking strap:
