I read somewhere. Don’t remember where, that Zenith are going for a subtle gender neutral vibe at the moment and I think that comes through. I have a black Zenith Defy ceramic and it could easily be worn by male and female, if it it might be a tad big on small wrists. Anyway, I think that this can go either way. The GS Shunbun doesn’t have the same questions asked of it and I don’t think we need to worry too much about this one either.
As with all watches. If you like it, want to wear it and can afford it, then go for it
I like this watch a lot and would certainly consider it. It feels like it is priced high because they can, rather because it reflects what it is worth.
That said, I really like it. I’d have to experience it first: see how the size feels on my wrist, what the strap feels like.
I have a Zenith Defy Skyline (black ceramic) which I love and it a similar price point, but it does have the El Primero which helps justify its price.
At the end of the day, at this price point I’d have to try the Laureto, Defy and Ingenieur together (perhaps with the Alpine Eagle) to decide if the dial is worth it
