My father gave me a Seiko 5 when I was 7 years old. I didn't like it because everytime I took it off and didn't wear it for a few days it would stop working. He explained to me I needed to wear it so it would wind. I didn't get it so I gave it back to him. Many years later after my dad died I inherited his jewelry box and what did I find in it? That old Seiko 5. I shook it and it started working. I started to learn about mechanical watches after that and I have been hooked ever since.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
First watch I ever owned was a Michael Jackson "Thriller" quartz watch my dad bought me when I was six years old. First mechanical watch was a black dialed Seiko 5 that my dad also bought me. I still have the Seiko.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Not really. Lol
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Do your research before buying a watch and try your best to try it on first before buying.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
IWC and Jaeger-LeCoultre
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Patek Phillipe 5170. I just think it's the most beautiful watch I've ever seen. Especially the white dial white gold option.
eatsleepworkwatches hasn't earned any badges, yet.
