We actually wrote an article about this a couple months ago. It's a big problem everywhere. Not just in Vancouver. I was travelling through Central America and out of curiosity stopped by a few to see if they had any stock, nothing. Not one had a single watch. This is why you're starting to see other brands increase in popularity. Specifically Tudor. Same for me! This is one of the reasons I went with the bottle cap. Case diameter is 45mm but wears smaller.
I'm a fellow bottlecaper! Great to see another fan on here. Super cool watch, and not as common as other Seiko's. The stainless look amazing too, went back and forth. But I'm considering it as well.
Now I'm just waiting on new straps to up the look even more.
That's honestly the best way to do it. The challenge is to keep doing that even if you make more money (obviously not if you're rich).
Yea that make sense, saving 10% on a $10,000 is always nice Congrats on the Islander, hope you enjoy it.
