2023 Watches
Favorite Watch: Sinn 556 I - 38.5mm. This watch was a late gift to myself of a promotion at work. Most of my watches were spur of the moment purchases but not this one. I saved for 6 months to get this beauty.
Most Worn Watch: Charlie Paris Concordia Blue - 38mm. My morning routine ends with selecting the watch to wear for the day. I try not to think that hard about which watch to pick. I ended up grabbing this one more than any other watch in 2023. It has the bruises and scars to show for it.
Least Worn Watch: Armitron Griffy - 34mm. While I love the digital display and the color I just didn't reach for this watch very often in 2023. My least favorite part of the watch is the bracelet. I'll try swapping it out with something new, maybe it can get more wrist time in 2024.
Newest Watch: Seiko SKX013 38mm - I spent more than half the year searching for an affordable SKX. When I finally found this one on eBay it needed some work. It has seen some adventures during its lifetime and had the battle scares to prove it. I decided to learn some new watch skills and bring this old beauty back to life. I polished the case and caseback, replaced the scratched Hardlex with a sapphire crystal, installed new gaskets, and upgraded to a Uncle Seiko bracelet. I couldn't be happier with how this turned out and can't wait to restore another vintage watch soon.
Relatively new to watch collecting. I love researching, learning, and collecting a wide variety of time pieces.
I like them all but the SKX is just so right.
Curious to know more about the Charlie Paris. I discovered them recently and love the looks of their watches. Love their GMT. Classy looking. It says a lot that it was your most worn. How was finish and quality? Thanks

I have a hard time finding details to be critical with the Concordia. It has a mix of polished and brushed finishes, very legible blue dial, 300 meters water resistance, sapphire crystal, and a quartz movement with a sweeping second hand. It is a perfect every day watch that I dress up and wear with shorts and a t-shirt. For the money it is great value and a watch that will be in my collection for a long time. I highly recommend the brand and this watch. 👍

I've never heard of that brand prior to this post, but after doing some research, I'm starting to love it...their quartz Nazare blue gradient dial is superb! How's the bracelet for it?
