Let's shine back those babies! What is your way to shine your watch?

I use Motul E6 with a soft organic cotton. This way it doesn't shine the brushed surfaces, if you accidentially scribe the glass it doesnt harm.

Since Motul E6 is a strong Nichel and chrome shiner and 316L stainless steel contains both (afaik) it helps extremely well ๐Ÿ˜€

I buy the large, black microfiber clothes from Sunglass Hut. I keep one on me most of the time.

For watches with at least 100m of WR, soapy water (lukewarm) and a kids's toothbrush on the case and bracelet, then rinse, pat dry with kitchen paper towel and lastly a thorough rub with microfibre cloth.

For water resistant SS watches, like Rolex, I will first gently wash it with foamy soap and give it a rinse. Then I will coat it in something like Crystal Guard which is a Japanese coating spray and wipe it with a cloth. For precious metal watches, I will make sure any dust, debris etc are gently airbrushed out, then use a soft brush to coat the surface with Crystal Guard and wipe it with a soft fibre cloth.

Yup

I have used 2000 grit sandpaper with the metal taped off then used a compound with deminishing abrasives to slowly refine the surface. It will likely never be perfect but will vastly improve

I forgot to mention btw in the original text. I'm only doing it for my 100M+ WR watches. Because when i finish the polishing, again with another soft cotton, i'm washing them with some high quality hand dishwasher liquid. By gently scribing them with the cotton and the foam of the liquid. To clean all the remaining E6 polisher.

After that i'm gently drying them with another cotton. And lastly, using a HAIDA lens/filter cleaning microfiber cloth (which i'm normally using to clean the lenses and filters i have, it never scratches) and putting their straps/bracelets back.
