So today, my dad passed me one of his watches: a Citizen Skyhawk Eco Drive JR3060-59F. He bought the watch in 2003 when he got his pilots license. The...

One thing I like about Timex is its accessibility. Anyone can get into a Timex and there are a lot of options.

Not particularly at the moment. I do not have a strong affinity to the brand as a whole but if I was to buy a Timex today, I would get the Timex Q Reissue 38mm with the Green and Yellow bezel. I think that is a very cool watch.

Woah! I have never been on a cruise so I didn't know they had jewelry stores. Duty-free? That is a very striking watch!

I love the Daytona like looks. What model is it? I’ve never seen it before. And yeah the WR is dismal. I’d even worry when it was misting outside.

The khaki field auto is a really good watch. I have the 38mm variant. It is a total strap monster. So you can wear it for any occasion. The two sizing, 38mm and 42mm and manual vs auto option means you can really taylor it to your needs. There is even a titanium version if you felt bougie. I got mine 3 years ago and at the time you could get them well below retail at an AD. I’m not sure about now though. The only reason it is no longer my daily is the WR. At 100m it is ok but without a screw down crown I’d always wonder if any water has gotten in at some point. I live in the PNW so rain is just a way of life over here. That being said, it is still ticking away and it still looks good. The last thing would be the polish bezel looks great but scratches way too easily. So if you think scratches are an eye sore and not characterful, it’ll be something to look out for. To summarize, it is the quintessential field watch with good looks and heritage. It is priced decently and has a good reputation.
