I would rather feel comfortable wearing my watch in all situations than buying a watch and leaving it in a safe. There are plenty of homage watches that can give you the look and if you scratch it to bad you just replace it. Thats for me a more enjoyable experience.
I suggest keeping things a simple as possible. You don't want to go down that rabbit hole. You will lose years of your life really quickly.
I try to always get beat error .5 or below. I only regulate dial up. I always lay watch with dial up at night. I can usually stay +2secs a day for over a week. I rarely wear one watch more than that at a time. This works for me. I do have a real machine to regulate now and have been successful changing beat error..but it is still pretty risky. I have ruined a few movements. Definitely a learning curb.
My opinion is It is Seiko inside so I see nothing wrong with Seiko logo. Just a like a race car that has FRAM decal only I am advertising for free.
I have a couple of dials that say Rolex but I didn't know it until they arrived. I am not going to throw them away just because they do.
I build for myself so if I am happy that is all that matters.
