Since I've been into watches/Tudors, I've always had my eye on the Hydronaut.
Hard to find these in mint condition. I had to dig all the way to Italy to find one in a mint enough condition that still had a reasonable price tag.
Here's how it looked before.
It was in good condition but you can clearly tell it had 20+ years of dirt/grime building up in the nooks and crannies.
$30 on an ultrasonic cleaner, some solution, and a microbristle toothbrush later and I think I've brought this thing back to life the way it should be.
It's watches like this that fuel my affinity for watches from the early 2000's; a little quirky and slightly more adventurous/experimental with their designs.
Personally I think this watch f*cks. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this one.

Much more individual than the Bland Bay range, much prefer it 😍👏🏻👏🏻

I do like the Black Bays a lot, but this Hydronaut has a certain X-factor that hits different.
That is a beautiful thing and well done! 🍻
