This is the first Chinese watch that I ever bought. Still waiting for mine to arrive and I’m expecting to be mildly disappointed, but for the price how much can one really ask for…
It’s good enough. I get the connection but I’d prefer a mint dial one, or yellow/black panda if they are doing wild colours.
Seiko QC strikes again: The compass bezel N and S markers cannot be both aligned exactly with 12 and 6 at the same time; if one direction is lined up, the other is a bit off. But at least the bezel works smoothly and isn't loose (have seen a video where it has a lot of play, which put me off for a while).
I've had several and I believe this is more down to the way the bezel is seated and not the QC / printing. Try turning S to 12 o clock to see if it's still misaligned.
Time only, I see the date first thing in the morning on my phone, the entire workday on my laptop, really never had an issue remembering the date
So the trick is:
lay the bracelet flat on a table (ideally on a soft cloth)
use the fancy tweezers to squeeze the springbar, pinning the bracelet to the table
with your other hand, take the watch case and guide it onto the bracelet
release tweezers
tldr: mount the watch onto the bracelet, not the bracelet onto the watch
I bought this Archimede after months of research in 2010, first watch after my childhood gshock. Was considering a Hamilton Khaki at the time as well. Had a one watch collection for about a year, then bought a more “sporty” quartz Festina, then a Seiko 5, another Seiko 5, Orient GMT, Mako, SKX… and that is when things really started to spiral
