Just a guy who enjoys learning more about watches, the way they work and their history. I enjoy getting to know more watches and grow my current collection!
After years of receiving watches as gifts from my parents, I recently decided to get more into watch collecting.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
The first non-digital watch I owned was a Swatch (I don't know the model).
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I have a Casio GWM5610 that has a special place in my collection.
When I was a kid, I used to see people around me wearing that watch around and I decided that when the time arrived I would buy one of those.
After browsing a couple of stores (Amazon and a couple of retailers) I found the model I wanted as a kid, so I decided to buy it at the moment my eyes fell on it.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Since I just started getting into watches I think the best advice I could give to someone is, don’t feel overwhelmed by the different types of watches that you’ll see.
After a while, you’ll have a favorite brand and even a type of watch (chronograph, GMT, etc…) that will become your favorite.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Tudor, Mido and Hamilton have been peeking my attention since the beginning of the year.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
My main grail watch is the Omega Speedmaster, specifically the one that has Snoopy in it.
It’s design is one of my favorite ones and I really like how in the back of the watch you can see Snoopy pass by on his rocket.
