NWA: Vaer DS4 Meridian Solar 38mm
I can tell that THIS honeymoon will last a while.
After having my new piece from Vaer for 24 hours now, I must say that I'm completely enamored with it. This 38mm solar diver is totally what I look for in a watch.
I love what Vaer is doing and this is my third piece from the brand. Aesthetics, simplicity, functionality and wearability are all top notch.

I have an S3 field watch on the way right now, to go with my D4 Atlantic. Vaer is hard to beat when it comes to no nonsense daily watches.
One of the things I love about what they do, is that they aren't only focused on capturing the "enthusiast" market. They make a lot of practical everyday watches for people who want a "nice" watch, but don't want to spend piles of money on one, and don't want to have to think about the watch too much.
I love that they started out making essentially "surfing proof" fashion watches, and have evolved into being a very cool brand with a broad range of offerings.

You list a wrist size of 7.75 How does the 38mm fit and feel on your wrist. I am looking at the DS4 and can't decide about the sizing.

It wears surprisingly well for my above average wrist size. My sweet spot is really about 40mm with most watches depending in the lug to lug distance. What’s interesting about this piece is that it “feels” small when I wear it on the tropic strap that it came with. The additional jubilee style bracelet that I ordered gives it much more presence and doesn’t look or feel as small. There is a 42mm available but it was out of stock at the time I ordered.
Just ordered a DS4 38mm and cannot wait to break it in before a beach trip this summer.
