Year/Price estimate on this new old stock Wyler Dynawind?

Picked this up years ago at a retiring watchsmith shop. He estimated it had been hidden in the back of a cabinet behind old papers since the late 60's...

I see prices all over the place in decent condition from $250 to $800 which means this watches worth is likely in the hands of the beholder and not based on any kind of market.

It's a great piece, keeps excellent time, no issues in hundreds of wears, probably would have been worth the higher asking price if I kept it mint NOS but I wear my watches and drive my cars, museums are for the boring.

It doesn't need to be worn if it makes you feel good when you see it, if it reminds you of where you started, or a special experience, or even a mistake which can be the most valuable type of reminder.

True collectors aren't owners, they're stewards. We take care of objects that may have value to others in the future.

If someone could enjoy something that I have more than I do, that's a strong reason to move on from it, be it a cool car, a cool watch, a cool vintage jacket, whatever.

If you don't need the money and it isn't worth a lot, gifting it is the best option, there is always someone younger than you and with a lot less money that would be psyched to get a cool piece.

"Would I really care if I never saw this again? did I already get all the joy or experience I am going to get out of this" if the answer leans more towards yes, get rid of it, it's taking up too much time in your head and that's the most valuable time there is.

It's not a 1 of 1, you'll always have the ability to buy it back, but you know you never will so set it off on it's next journey. There's a wrist out there that would be thrilled to show it off.
