Just an over generic term that people use. Do they mean beater? Sure if it's a gshock or sub $100 casio or timex it makes sense. But no way does my over $1000 Hamilton khaki expedition fall into that or not to mention a Tudor Ranger or Rolex Explorer. And then again isn't every watch a tool?
