Don’t be so quick to trust!

Well another Chinese watch company, “Boderry” and boy the YouTube reviewers are drooling over the great deal and beauty of the watch,

I watched the reviews but I’m pretty suspicious when it comes to Chinese watches straight from China.

As I perused Boderrys website, I noticed several items of concern.

First is, if you return the watch no matter if it’s defective or not, you pay the postage.

Second is, if you purchased it even on there own website and got it on sale, you can’t return it. WHAAAAAT!

After checking on Trustpilot for real reviews, this is what I found a lot of,

Yes there were some good ones but with as many bad ones, I have to ask: Are the YouTube reviewers looking into these companies at all?

My advice, run like hell!

Yeah, no more Chinese watches from China for me! Too many others from Asia with better customer service!

Personally I think if you are buying something like that from China, you shouldn't even be thinking about return policy. Sure you could get a great deal and a good product but if not, well there are no laws to protect you as a consumer that China will honor. So either you are ready to accept the risk and potentially lose your money or you buy somewhere where customer has actual rights and good chance of getting their money back.

Still good of you to point out all of this, people should be aware of the risks 👍

Aliexpress has perfect customer service lol

I checked them out too and when I saw the shipping times - even longer than AliExpress - I said no thanks. Those terms you listed solidifies my choice, thanks!

Yeah, that's why I don't trust YouTube reviews, I regard them as entertainment mostly & advertising secondly.

Having said that I did get a Steeldive Ploprof clomage years ago and it seems pretty decent- but I paid the premium & bought it from their official UK store.

I go in with the idea , that once you buy it forget about return or refund. Why I set my limit at $100 max when buying from AliExpress.. you get some good but, there are also some bad. If I am going for that $300 over mark I would rather get a Seiko, Citizen etc... as beautiful as some I see on AliExpress there is always caution to be observed..

I bought a bronze diver from Boderry after watching a US-based YouTube reviewer. The watch looks nice, blue dial and bezel insert in the bronze case. However, the bezel is super lose and has a reasonable amount of backplay. It became the watch I wear when playing tennis

You can pay with paypal on their website. I think if you contact paypals customer service they would help return the money
