A year with the Orion Field Standard

For anyone interested in a tough as nails, well built, highly comfortable and beautifully proportioned field watch, the Orion Field Standard should rise to the top of the list.

I was very set on purchasing a Hamilton Khaki Field automatic until I ran into this robust alternative that won me over. There are so many well thought out details that elevate the piece in ways I was not expecting from a field watch. The highly polished indices which align with each number play with the light beautifully. The Orion constellation has been engraved on the back of the case, which is also slightly curved to fit the shape of the wrist. The large, signed screw-down crown has knurling which is easy to grasp, and the face is adorned with a lovely typeface created for the brand.

I have worn it almost every day since receiving it around this time last year and its held up beautifully. Owning this watch has been very satisfying. Highly recommended.

Beautiful. Was in the same boat, ended up with a Serica 4512. This was def in my options too. Something about a water resistant everyday field watch is so good.

If I didn't already have a field watch, I'd buy this one in a second. Love the simple design and case!
