I grabbed what I thought was a bargain Casio DW-6630B (1994-1995) on eBay the other week for £30, which was for spares or repair, well it turned out someone had been messing about with it, loose screws, debris, old degraded adhesive inside.
Well I stripped it all down, even the module, found all the parts, screws, etc and put it back together with a small spring in the wrong way and thought I killed the module...🤬.
Anyway, having waited a week or so. Cleaned the case, buttons and seals (replacements where required) and greased, I decided to sit and clean all the module parts again and gently rebuilt.
Guess what, she's fine. Next stop back together and a new strap and bezel, with a little colour coding.

One of my favorite G-Shock modules!
The backlit “G” is pretty cool.

Yeah, I was unhappy when I though I'd killed the module, but all good now.
