Grand Seiko has unveiled another timepiece that foreshadows the coming of winter: the "Snowflake" SBGX353. READ MORE The post Grand Seiko Introduces...
I love my SBGX261. It consistently gets the most wear of any of my watches. It fits my wrist well, matches all my outfits, is extremely accurate, and is of famous Grand Seiko quality. Definitely my favorite watch of the collection.
That’s an awesome watch! Also, kudos to your wife for proposing to you with a watch! I love that. My wife gave me an “engagement watch” after I proposed to her since I wanted a shiny new toy, too.
Also, I learned that FC claims to be the first ones to come up with the idea of the heartbeat dial design, but didn’t patent it due to being such a young company at the time and not knowing what they were doing.
Pretty cool history since heartbeat designs are pretty popular nowadays. I think that makes your watch that much more special.
This was also posted on the @frederiqueconstant Instagram page and caught my eye. It’s a collaboration with Revolution Watch, but I can’t find where to find more info about it. It’s not on either website, and this is all I found on Instagram. Luckily it seems (slightly) smaller than the white dial 40mm case diameter Manufacture Slimline Monolithic pictured in that group shot. Maybe it’s 39mm like the new tourbillon?
37mm Grand Seiko SBGX261. I’m obsessed with it and its high accuracy 9F movement. It’s only 1 second slow since the time change in November.
I struggle to wear my other watches in the collection simply because the SBGX261 is not only a Jack of all trades, but a master of all!
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills because everybody loves 36mm watches but nobody ever points out that Grand Seiko hardly focuses on smaller watches. Heck, even the thickness leaves a lot to be desired. 34-37mm diameter, <12mm thickness, automatic spring drive with a textured dial? It may never happen, but that’s a dream. Only their quartz and hand-wound options are even close to that. Love my 37mm SBGX261 as an everyday piece, though. Nice and slim at 10mm.
Yep. Hell, that’s like saying a disposable Swatch sistem51 movement is the same as a Grand Seiko hi-beat or Omega co-axial. This ain’t your father’s quartz! The 9F is really a beautiful movement.
