Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I bought a Stowa Antea 365 in 2014 to have a nice dress watch for special occasions. I only wore it once or twice a year. At the end of 2021 I bought a limited edition Stowa Flieger to celebrate a milestone in my life and that watch got me into wearing a watch daily. I then decided I wanted a less expensive/special watch to wear while working on my motorcycles, around the yard, etc. so I found a Teddy B video on YouTube about the Hamilton Khaki Field and I was off to the races from there.

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I have a Seiko quartz that was my great grandfather’s watch in the final few years of his life.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Watch some of the great YouTube videos explaining the origin of the Swiss movements, Seiko and what companies truly make their own.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Seiko, Tudor and Omega
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Rolex Explorer 1016 because it is the watch Ian Fleming wore and is most likely the watch he imagined when describing the watch James Bond wore in his original 007 stories.
