Things a Little Messy here in China now for watches

Michael here in Chengdu China.  I've been collecting here for over 2 years.  In Chengdu I've got lots of AD's, and several grey market dealers who I've gotten to know.  Now the challenges are around getting the new watches into AD's as they all travel through Shanghai which is essentially locked down at the moment.  I would love to see the new Tudor watches in the flesh but the AD's here cannot get them in the store yet as they are supposedly stuck in Shanghai.  No shipping out of SHanghai at the moment.  So I did scratch an itch today and bought a Tudor BB GMT at my favorite grey market dealer.  I had one of these 1.5 years ago and sold it for some stupid reason.  I love this watch.  I have a BB58 which will be my M-T-W-Th watch and the GMT will be my F-S-Sun watch.  We watch nerds are a strange bunch aren't we.  Well I've also got a Speedmaster Moonwatch from 1990 that i bought online in the UK and had shipped to my sister in the UK.  That was 2 years ago and so I've never actually seek this watch in person, nor have I seen my sister for 4 years.  Come to think of it, I haven't seen my wife for 2.5 years as she's in Viertnam and I am in China and neither of us can travel to the other country due to covid restrictions.  Maybe this is why I am totally obsessed with watches now?

Well, I hope that you get to see your loved ones soon. Watches are a great distraction, but that only goes so far. Where I am the pandemic is over unless I want to fly or ride a train. As an American we drive most places anyway. I hope that it gets better for you soon.

Stay safe and healthy, my friend. Hope you may see your family sooner rather than later...
