Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
The 1980’s Casio took off! Data banks, phone dialers, voice records, & remote controls. My first Casio beeped every 30 minutes unusual! 2nd Casio was their 1st solar watch! Back then they were mustly under $100.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
A Carvelle, I think? I got it wet, rolled in toilet paper, unknowingly my Uncle throw it in the toilet & flushed it! One Christmas I got a Timex!
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I bought an Orient from Jomashop based in Brooklyn NY. I figured it’ll take a day or 2 to get to NJ! A snow storm hit the area, it went to Newark 1st then, tracking the package to Tenessee!
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Do you want a collectible name brand? Or a functional accurate time piece? Go with automatics or solar! Quartz batteries have to be changed often & are expensive! Though swatch quartz batteries are free, trying to get you in the store!
