Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
Growing up I had a manual wind Snoopy watch then went full tilt when Swatch watches became popular. I would wear 3 watches at a time and sometimes a pop swatch on my shirt. Then graduated to Gucci watches and other fashion brands until I got my Submariner and that was my only watch for 25 years.

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My husband proposed with my dream watch. A Rolex Submariner date. It’s been my only watch for 25 years.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy what you love. Don’t worry about resale value or others opinions. Research history and stories behind the watch but go with your gut.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Cartier, Patek, JLC, Zenith, IWC, Vacheron Constantin, AP and GP, Rolex, Longines, Oris, Glashutte Original, Blancpain, Nomos and Breguet
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
A Patek 5134. It has a double time zone complication that isn’t too busy with simple controls that doesn’t draw too much attention to itself. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous.
